The Saint Denis bank heist is by far one of the most stressful sequences in Red Dead Redemption 2, because everything that could go wrong basically goes wrong.

Everything just doesn't feel right, even from the moment the gang ride into town. Even as things appear to be going smoothly, Arthur is called to the front and it transpires that Milton has captured Abigail and Hosea, who he leads out onto the street in front. He holds the elderly member at gunpoint, and then coldly shoots him in the back. The fact that Hosea was reluctant to embark on the job in the first place made things so much worse, and as the clear brains of the outfit, his demise signals the beginning of a downward spiral for Dutch's band of not-so-merry gunslingers.

Things get even worse, however, as they begin to make their way out. John gets snatched outside of the bank, and it's eventually revealed that Dutch let it happen. Then, as Arthur Lenny take the lead, Lenny is taken by surprise by two Pinkertons and is shot in the chest. It all happens so fast, and Lenny, who Arthur had taken a particular shine to in the preceding chapters, is left on the Saint Denis rooftop.

It's all downhill from there, as Arthur, Dutch, Micah, Javier and Bill find themselves shipwrecked on the island of Guarma. Battle lines are drawn, and the following chapters turn into a torrid experience.
