3. Star Rating Next To Wildlife Dictates Quality
Depending on how much you want to flesh out the aesthetic of the camp - or unlock better stat-restoring stews, fast-travel and side content - you'll be doing a lot of hunting.
It's worth knowing the earlier point about weapon and ammo types, but also keep an eye on the bottom right of the screen. Holding R1/RB lets you scout which creatures are worth taking down, but look specifically at the tiny "three star" icon. This dictates the quality of the meat and pelt, ranging from "Poor" to "Good" to "Perfect".
If you ended up bringing down a creature in a gunfight or just by riding into it though, check the quality before you commit to trekking back to camp.
