2. Your Horse Will Auto-Navigate Trees

Subject of pretty much every piece of online footage, horses in Red Dead seem to want to introduce their faces to the surrounding wilderness.

The reason? You're not supposed to micro-manage your horse's movements when navigating thickets or built up areas of forestation.

Rather like putting your faith in a real-life steed, just lay off the analogue stick and you'll make it through.

You can still keep hammering X/A to maintain speed, but the reason so many people are hitting trees is because they're forcing the A.I.'s scripting to jut out of sync, resulting in a collision. Let your horse do its thing, and you'll make it through the vast majority of forests without a scratch.
