Hardly matching the sheer devastation of a shotgun, nor the power and accuracy of a rifle, or even the rapid fire rate and reload times of a sidearm; repeaters are the black sheep of RDR 2's arsenal.

However, for their apparent lack of any defining trait as a firearm, the repeaters truly shine as all-rounders in heated gunfights. Their fast fire, decent range, and moderate damage make them ideal for cover hopping and blind firing in the midst of heavy combat, when gradually thinning the enemy herd is the safest tactic.

While all three repeaters fulfil this role as trusty all-rounders, the Carbine Repeater is surely the weakest of the three, making it one of the least appealing longarms to lock and load when a gunfight breaks out.
