The revolver of choice for players who want to deal out some rapid-fire damage, the Double-Action Revolver has the fastest firing rate of all the available revolvers in RDR 2.

However, for all the sidearm's effectiveness in close-range dual wielding, that's about all that its usefulness extends to. The revolvers main selling point, its best-in-class fire rate, only further ruins the weapon's already less-than-ideal accuracy at any range further than a dozen feet or so.

An excellent choice to dual wield to compliment a rifle or repeater, any player wielding the Double-Action revolver on its own would be far better off with another revolver or pistol on their gun belt.
