Red Dead Redemption 2 Revisted: 10 Awesome Details You Missed
9. Your Actions Have More Consequences Then You Realise
It's been mentioned already in this list about trying to get a "good" ending for Arthur to compensate him for being such a good and well-written character.
The game does this using an 'Honor' system, affected by Arthur's actions throughout the game, such as interactions with other characters, whom he assists (i.e. criminals or lawmen), his fondness for shooting innocent people, and much more. It all adds up.
Attempting to make Arthur a good boah will result in visions of a deer basking in the sun during Arthur's final ride to confront Micah at the Beaver Hollow camp and as he passes away from his tuberculosis later on.
Should you be someone of negative Honor in playthroughs, the deer spirit animal will be replaced with a black coyote, drenched in the pouring rain. Town folk and gang members will interact with Arthur much differently depending on honor too, some being more standoffish, with shops not offering the same level of discount as you would for being wholesome.
Corpses also offer better loot if you are a bad lad so... make of that what you will.
