Though it hasn't been 100% confirmed, the latest trailer does seem to strengthen rumours from a few months ago that the version of Dead Eye in Red Dead Redemption 2 will actually be a blend of level 1 and 3 from the original title.

In the first RDR, level 1 allowed you to slow down time and manually pull off shots, while the final version swapped this out for the ability to mark points on enemies and execute a flurry of attacks.

Going forward, it seems as though Rockstar is going to give players far more freedom in regards to Dead Eye, either allowing them to shoot while time is slowed, or pinpoint body parts manually and line up shots that way. Consequently, the developers may be getting rid of different "levels" entirely, instead opting for a universal system that gives fans more dexterity in combat.
