Red Dead Redemption: Who Should Play Who In A Live Action Adaptation
4. Micah Bell - Josh Lucas
The Character: If Hosea Matthews was the Angel on Dutch's shoulder, then Micah Bell was the Devil on the other side.
From the moment players were introduced to Micah, they could sense something wasn't right about him. The newest member of the Van Der Linde Gang was designed to be hated, and Rockstar succeeded with an antagonist whose selfish and conniving ways helped accelerate and drive the downfall of the beloved gang.
Not a pleasant thing could be said around camp about Micah, and with Dutch gradually listening exclusively to him, the treacherous bandit's influence grew like a disease. Every player felt some level of catharsis when they blew him away in the Epilogue.
The Actor: Google any picture of Josh Lucas and you can immediately see the handlebar moustache and sneering face. No disrespect to Lucas of course, but this is a role he was born to play. From previous films like Le Mans 66 and Ang Lee's Hulk, it's not hard to imagine someone so confident, manipulative and charming being played by Lucas.
Think about it - the standoff at Beaver Hollow really highlights how contemptible Micah is. And the snivelling way Micah hisses "He's lying!" to Dutch could almost roll off Lucas' tongue.
