Resident Evil: 10 Best Movie Characters

5. Claire Redfield

Alice Resident Evil Retribution
Screen Gems

Portrayed By: Ali Larter

Appeared In: Extinction, Afterlife, Retribution (archive footage), The Final Chapter

Where Wentworth Miller's character of Chris Redfield has faded into the background as a bit of nothingness, Ali Larter, playing his sister Claire, stood out from the crowd. She may not be as memorable as Ada, Alice, or Jill, but she forms the fourth corner of the series' female powerhouse. Claire made such an impact on the series since her introduction, there were even once rumors that a Claire-centric spin-off could be in the works with Larter once again reprising her role.

Introduced as the convoy leader in 2007's Resident Evil: Extinction, Claire wasted no time in butting heads with Jovovich's Alice, but by standing her ground as a toughened survivor she quickly became a fan-favorite in the leader capacity.

While Claire, Chris, and K-Mart were all presumed dead after the events of Retribution, Claire fans can rejoice that she will be back for The Final Chapter. Also undergoing the "turned evil" process, Claire and Alice's bonding sisterhood relationship was easily the best part of the lacklustre Resident Evil: Afterlife. As a staple of the game series, Claire's later appearances returned to her more classic video game look and her signature red hair, while Larter was given the screentime to do what she does best, being the final girl who isn't afraid to get stuck in with whooping ass.
