Resident Evil 2: 7 Ups & 3 Downs
4. Up: Campaigns That Motivate Replays
A big selling point of RE2 is the two campaigns, and it does a good job of promoting how much value a game like this has. Rather than a simple 8-10 hour single-player experience, you get double that with an option to play from a different perspective (and with a different overarching goal).
Whether it's the multiple difficulties or the challenge components tied to achievements/trophies, it's nigh impossible to limit yourself to one playthrough. After all, At the end of each campaign, it gives you a total playtime number and a letter grade, which depending on what you get, will make you go back to that main title screen, select 'New Game 2nd Run' just so you outdo your previous effort.
Yes, the campaigns don't differ quite as much as one would prefer, but if you elect to go for that higher difficulty or try to take on certain achievements/trophies (never opening the item box, taking less than 14,000 steps total), you'll find that the replay value is simply too irresistible.
