Resident Evil 2: 9 Things To Look Forward To
6. Videogame Nasties
It's not just the heroes of the adventure that have had the current generation makeover, our supporting players in the undead army have also been given the cosmetic overhaul.
Zombies shamble and glisten with gore, dripping coagulated blood from open wounds and lost extremities. Cloth deterioration reacts in real time to being shot/stabbed/burnt, and enemies react accordingly to where they're hit.
Lickers, the nightmare-inducing successor to the Hunters, also look more sinister this time around. Being made of bone and muscle, they shy from fire and burn easily, but will make their life-ending leaps when they think you aren't looking.
Then there's Mr X, the tyrant in a trench coat. Still maintaining that stoic, emotionless march toward the player, he's still every bit as menacing as his original introduction.
As mentioned before, William Birkin looks every bit as disgusting as his constantly evolving counterpart, and one can only imagine the overhaul the Jaws-homaging sewer crocodile has had.
