Resident Evil 2 Remake: 9 Iconic Moments We Can't Wait To See

6. Overgrown Reptiles

Resident Evil has a long, storied love affair with larger than life fauna. Even stretching as far back as the original, Jill and Chris had to contend with a house-sized fish tank populated by sharks reared on T-Virus juice and since then, we've borne witness to overgrown plants, cockroaches, snakes and, of course, alligators.

Just as its owner had neglected to do before flushing the four-legged reptile down the bog, Capcom never gave its sewer-dwelling second half showstopper a name, but then, was there really much point? Despite the memorability of blowing its flapping head off with a well-placed bullet into a fuel canister, the screen time for Resi 2's gator was insultingly short and scripted.

A result of time constraints, no doubt, given the protracted nature of Resident Evil 2's development cycle, but now it has the time and budget to get things right the second time around.

Keep the execution method; extend the fight beyond a simple corridor chase sequence.
