Resident Evil 3: 16 Best Secrets You Need To Know
13. Single Stalker References
Resident Evil 3, much like the original game, is built around the Nemesis. Yes, there are zombies and monsters all around this fallen city, but they're mostly target-practice. Nemesis is the big bad no doubt. He's what you're fleeing from.
He's what pushes you from area to area, in search of safety. A single stalker who will not rest in his mission to destroy you. It's fitting then that it pays homage to two of the big single stalker movie series that inspired the original concept.
The first of these references we find is just outside Jill's apartment when we come across Sigourney, a coffee shop that opened in 1979 and is a huge reference to Alien.
In the subway, we start seeing posters for the Skull Stalker films which are blatant Terminator references, although some of them also lean towards Alien.
Then there's the Disaster poster which is another Alien reference. It's also worth mentioning that the art used for this poster is incredibly similar to the Resident Evil 6 box art. Could someone within Capcom be letting us know what they think of one of the worst received entries in the series?
