Resident Evil 3 Remake: 10 Reasons Why It Sucks

1. A Criminally Short Run Time

The biggest criticism, saved for last, is just how short the run time of the game is.

And I don't mean in the grand scheme of taking your time to explore, because you can faff about for ages. That's your choice.

But for those that are just concerned with getting the story done, an average of about four hours is shocking. Granted, the original was shorter than Resident Evil 2, with its single campaign against four separate ones, but not to this extreme.

A full price game with very little bonus content draws up comparisons to The Order 1886 in terms of length and replayability, something I never thought I'd say.

Yes, it's a more action focused game. One that unfortunately relies on chase sequences over puzzle solving to streamline the experience that it feels like such a rip-off.

Even more so when you consider the lack of endgame content, too. Sure, you can grind some records out, in a similar vein to Max Payne 3, but not everybody wants to do that.

Considering how much was cut from 2's remake, this feels insulting.
