Resident Evil 3 Remake: 10 Reasons Why It Sucks

2. Lack Of Bonus Weapons

What made the original trilogy of games fun, for me, was the idea of finishing it quick enough to unlock some sweet firepower in return.

Whilst the game can be finished quickly anyway (but not as a positive), the removal of anything decent as an unlockable reward just cheapens the whole experience.

Instead, there is a shop that you can spend points earned by completing tasks and challenges on. Yet while the biggest prize is an infinite rocket launcher, which is a token of the series, there isn't much else.

No minigun, which could have easily been carried over with assets from the last game.

There's a handful of decent items, like early access to a lockpick and bolt cutters, that can help unlock some early firepower and ammo, for example.

But on the whole it just feels lacking, for want of a better word. Alright, the rocket launcher makes the speedruns easier, but it's not as fun as reenacting that scene from Predator with the minigun against waves of zombies.

Or maybe that just says something about me...
