Resident Evil 3 Remake: 10 Things It Can Improve On
4. More Boss Fight Variety
I mentioned earlier about the Nemesis not falling into the familiarity of being the same boss fight repeatedly, unlike in the original. This also applies to the other boss fights alongside Jill and Carlos' fight to escape the doomed Raccoon City.
For example, the original had Carlos take on a room of Hunters in the hospital. Whilst it was tense then, by today's standards it would just mean holding your ground and shooting them like a slimy duck hunt gallery. Perhaps make it more tense: have them attacking from all angles or the shadows?
Likewise with the Grave Digger battle, in the graveyard. Whilst the way of eventually killing it was unique, for the most part it was just shooting it a lot. Although you'd expect that with any encounter, these one-off fights could have some real ingenuity to them, making them stand out against normal enemy encounters.
