Resident Evil 3 Remake: EVERY Major Change & Missing Feature

Ending

Resident Evil 3 Brad
Capcom

Original:

The Resident Evil Franchise was very much known for having multiple endings, playable characters or scenarios. Well until 4 anyway. RE3 was no different and depending on the player's choice, they could Escape with Carlos or have the added bonus of Barry Burton piloting.

Though it could also all go horribly wrong as well, with Nikolai beating Jill to the chopper. Jill has the choice of destroying the chopper or attempting to negotiate with Nikolai. Though, they both do not end well, resulting in Jill failing to escape.

Completing the game a bunch more time on different difficulties and with higher ranks will unlock epilogues for each character involved as an added bonus.

Resident Evil 3 Nikolai
Capcom

Remake:

Capcom has pretty much done away with their games having multiple endings or different scenarios, so when it comes to RE3R, there is only one outcome for Jill. Well, technically there are two, if the player fails to kill Nikolai at the end then he will, in turn, kill both her and Carlos and steal the chopper.

When it comes down to the Last Escape, however, Jill and Carlos make it safely out of the city moments before the missile hits, leaving Nikolai to burn. This is the safe choice for sure and it leads into Jill taking down Umbrella for good, but we do get a nice tease from Nikolai alluded to Wesker pulling strings in the shadows.

Or so it may seem.

This motivational change for Nikolai is actually a good thing and surely will help tie together story threads down the line.

The only real negative here is poor Barry Burton being cut as a potential helicopter pilot.
