Resident Evil 3 Remake: EVERY Major Change & Missing Feature
NEST 2
Original:
After being saved by Carlos and given the antidote for the T-Virus, Jill has to make it to another location to be airlifted to safety. Coming shortly after she defeats the Grave Digger for a final time, Jill makes it to the Waste Disposal Factor, but Nemesis isn’t far behind.
This was yet another location that showed the variety and just how large Raccoon City was in scale. For a game that was turned around in such a short space of time, the team at Capcom really went out to create as much of a fully-fledged experience as possible.
Remake:
Come 2020 the Waste Disposal Factor in name is gone, and now has been fused with NEST 2. Now this is fine and sure does connect the two Remakes more than the original games did, but for some, it does feel like treading the same water once again.
The Waste Disposal Factor was dark, dingy and frankly very creepy, whereas NEST 2 is sterile and somehow has less character than NEST 1 did. Jill still uses this final location to melt Nemesis in a pool of acid and then finish him with a Rail Gun, though this location might as well have boss area written on the front door.
For a location so similar to that in Resident Evil Remake 2, there could’ve been so much scope to explore even more dark sinister experiments of Umbrella.
