Resident Evil 7: 10 Biggest Fan Demands Capcom Must Include
6. Axe The Quicktime Events
Let's get this straight right away; most players absolutely loathe quick time events, wishing for their ultimate demise more and more with every game that uses them. Unfortunately, the Resident Evil franchise has been saddled with them since RE4, a game that was good enough to surpass them and stand out. But when the game that surrounds your quick time events isn't quite up to snuff, all the patience for them goes right out the window. Now is the time to take those button-mashing marathons and chuck them. It's important to note that quick time events aren't hated by everyone, the author of this article included, but there isn't much place for them in a series like Resident Evil anymore. Not only are they part of a gaming fad that should probably have died already, but they don't tend to do much for whatever sequence the player is involved with. Aside from allowing you some loose sense of phony control in a cut scene, their benefits are a hard sell to the player and also distract from the action on-screen.
