Resident Evil 7: 10 Biggest Fan Demands Capcom Must Include

4. A Monster Overhaul

One big problem with Resident Evil has been the monsters, who seem to just get bigger and more complex, yet aren't very scary. Capcom creates these huge monsters that sure do look cool, but that fear just isn't there. It's time to scale back and think smaller, create some monsters that don't tower over you and believing that the scale somehow creates a frightening monster. If we're going to include some monsters to back up the shuffling zombies, then that's perfectly fine, but it may be time to give them a massive overhaul. Give us some monsters that are plainly terrifying, not just huge beasts that couldn't scare a five-year old. Oh, and speaking of zombies, they're clearly the best part of playing a Resident Evil game, so let's give them some more time in the spotlight. Heck, you could completely eradicate the monsters from the series at this point and just go back to the basics of zombies if you really wanted to. It's clear that a few fans would be perfectly fine with that, and it's something that would help RE7 in giving back the fear to the franchise. It's worth noting that even the first game had monsters and a final boss fight with one of these creatures known as Tyrant, but it could be a nice change of pace to refocus on zombies at this stage.
