8. Release Date
TumblrIn the weeks building up to E3 the internet was alight with rumours that Resident Evil 7 would be unveiled by Capcom. However, as is so often the case, E3 came and went and all of these rumours were proven to be erroneous. We may have seen some gameplay footage of The Evil Within to satisfy our survival-horror needs but fans who had been giddy with excitement at the prospect of finally getting some details about RE7 were left wanting. Not seeing anything of Resident Evil at the biggest event of the gaming calendar hasnt stopped the speculation that the game is coming. The Japanese press which had previously stated unequivocally that we would be seeing Capcoms game at E3 now state that the game will be released in the Fall of 2015. The next entry in the series is currently shrouded in so much mystery that it is practically impossible to say whether this speculation as to the release date is accurate. Of course it would be excellent to finally know exactly when we can expect another Resident Evil title but until we hear official word from Capcom all this kind of speculation should be taken with a pinch of salt.
