Resident Evil 8: Every Confirmed & Leaked Detail You Need To Know
6. Zombies Are Back, Baby!
Once the backbone of the series, the original games slowly made zombies seem normal compared to the other enemies. By the time Resident Evil 4 rolled around, zombies had become more an annoyance than something to fear, and fans welcomed the introduction of more interesting and reactive enemies. The Resident Evil 2 REmake made zombies scary again, finding the perfect balance between fully destructible bodies and a terrifying capacity for destruction.
If you knew what you were doing, you could skirt around these shamblers, taking a potshot to the knee to stun or knock them down when you needed to, but you were never safe with them around. Even in such small numbers when compared to the enemies in the later numbered games, the zombies of REmake could easily overwhelm a player who wasn't paying attention.
Chris will likely be overjoyed to be facing zombies again, and a key mystery in the game will be where they came from when a story looking into Eveline's origins would likely have more Molded as the stock enemy. Still, it won't be the only thing that players can look forward to running from.
