Resident Evil 8 Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Want To See

8. The Return Of Ethan

Resident Evil 7
Capcom

With Resident Evil 7, Capcom aimed to create a protagonist that was easily for the player to project onto, and in turn they actually created a surprisingly captivating character in the everyman of Ethan Winters.

Winters may not have had much to say in his first outing, but that's what made him great. He comes off as surprisingly badass when he starts wielding chainsaws like they're no big deal, and his continuing plight makes him easy to root for.

Giving him a few one liners might even liken him to a toned down Ash Williams, which could be a good way to incorporate the series' trademark humour. We saw glimpses of his personality previously, but this could give him a chance to truly develop.

The player genuinely wants him to succeed and win against the Bakers. Including him in a sequel could actually develop his character into something more, giving him as much status as Leon or Chris.
