Resident Evil 8 Wishlist: 10 Things Fans Want To See

6. A Longer Campaign

Resident Evil 7 Ship

The pace of Resident Evil 7 was masterfully done, making sure it didn't overstay its welcome but also keeping the player wanting more. That said, more is definitely the answer for the sequel.

Making a game long for the sake of it is never a good idea. Luckily, Resident Evil 7 managed to keep the right length, never feeling like it was going on too long or ending too quickly. The next game needs to somehow manage this, whilst also providing even more content.

This may seem like a big ask, but average runs of RE7 lasted upwards of seven hours and, although the pacing was incredible, this is a bit too short considering we're still paying full price.

The lack of any meaningful bonuses besides completing the game on Madhouse also compacted the issue, making the game feel like a 'one-and-done' kind of situation.

If anything can be done to solve this and expand the campaign accordingly, it really should.
