11. Sherry Birkin
The daughter of William Birkn, the Umbrella scientist who inadvertently released the virus upon Racoon City, Sherry Birkin holds a key place in the world of Resident Evil.
Her first appearance was in Resident Evil 2 in which she was playable for a brief part of Claire's scenario. It wasn't until the stunning remake that she was given her own playable section which saw her escape from an orphanage while being hunted by the imposing Chief Irons.
Sherry would then reappear as an adult in Resident Evil 6. Now working for the DSO, it was her job to recruit Jake Muller and take down Umbrella for good.
Seeing how far Sherry had come from being a defenceless orphan was a treat for fans. Hopefully her part to play in the series isn't over yet.
