Resident Evil: Ranking Every Major Protagonist Worst To Best

7. Jake Muller

Along with Sherry, Jake Muller - aka Albert Wesker's son - while a little bit cliched on paper, was actually one of the few redeeming features of Resident Evil 6. That might sounds a bit blasphemous considering how contrived his existence is, but aside from that, he actually tangled with some rather interesting themes.

Both he and Sherry had to deal with the sins of their fathers, living essentially in the shadows of their parents. They'd both grown up in unique circumstances, and over the course of this sixth game attempted to discover who they are away from their notable heritage. It's a surprisingly human draw for someone who literally karate chops zombies to death, and it's a shame it was locked away in a sub-par sequel.

And, as daft as it is, Jake is one of the few Resi protagonists who fundamentally plays differently. His melee focus demands you to approach the game from a different perspective, and makes his campaign's co-op focus the only one that really feels justified.
