Resident Evil Village: 5 Best Parts (And 5 That Sucked)
4. BEST: Beneviento House
Although Lady Dimitrescu may have dominated the build up to the game, it is Beneviento House which seems to be the major talking point following release. This area of the game is one of the scariest locations in the entire franchise.
The abandoned house is filled with porcelain dolls, setting a spooky atmosphere from the moment you enter. Once you make it down to the basement however, the lights will go out and all your weaponry and items will be taken from you for the remainder of this level, forcing you to use brains not brawn to escape.
The level has you perform an autopsy of sorts on a wooden mannequin designed to look like Mia, Ethan's deceased wife. Things reach their true peak however when you finally try to escape, making your way down the dark corridors only to see a dark shape slide into view in front of you, a baby’s voice crying out.
You will be forced to flee and find a place to hide as the monstrosity slides across the floor, crying out for you. Being pressed inside a locker as the demonic foetus peers in from the other side is pure nightmare fuel.
