Rise Of The Tomb Raider: 10 Killer Features It Must Have
8. Extremely Varied Death Scenes
This is an extremely polarising topic with some gamers decreeing that theyll never play Tomb Raider while these over-the-top glorified death scenes continue to be included in future releases. However for the six million players who bought the game, the general feeling is that they love them. In fact, a previous article on WhatCulture highlighted just how satisfying certain protagonists were to kill and Lara Croft came in second place. A highlight of some of these scenes include choking, stabbing, being eaten by wolves, impaled (on a wide variety of poles) and even thrown off a bridge. It actually seems like the developers went out of their way to include death scenes for pretty much every possibility rather than just have some sort of default falling animation. Players dont really need to worry about Crystal Dynamics lacking in the imagination department as far as it comes to ways in which to kill Lara. After all they brought you that certain scene set amongst some furious rapids that led into a spinning helicopter blade, as well as sneaking in things like the anti-ship mines exploding if tampered with them. But theyve still got work to do if they're going to beat the death scene involving King Midas Hand from the original Tomb Raider.
