Rise Of The Tomb Raider: 10 Killer Features It Must Have

4. Deviously Complex Tombs

During the reboot there were several side-tombs that didn€™t have to be completed in order to progress through the story mode. Each of these had a technique to completing them but generally they weren€™t all that complex once you worked out the trick. When you compare them to the likes of the similar sequences in the Assassin€™s Creed franchise, it shows that they really are much simpler and less challenging. It wouldn€™t take much in the way of development to improve upon what was there from the first game; it would just be a case of adding several stages within each tomb for the player to get through before they get to whatever prize is at the end of the level. While this might enrage some players who want a simple life, it€™d make the eventual reward that much more satisfying. One thing that should stay is the use of the tools and weapons within those tombs in order to keep it interesting and different from TR€™s competitors. A good example is in the Stormguard Sanctum where the player has to use flaming arrows to explode gas before they can move through the area. It€™s a clever idea that relies on the specific equipment seen in the game and if Rise keeps to that concept, then it would keep it interesting for the fans.
