Saints Row 5: 10 Things We Need To See

While more of Kinzie would be great, it does feel like the race has been run for some of the other characters. Phasing then out for some new blood might be the shot in the arm Saint’s Row could need after such a long gap between main series entries.

Johnny Gat has been the main man for the Saints aside from the Boss, but especially after Gat Out Of Hell it feels like he’s been explored from every angle conceivable. Pierce too with the extra focus in Agents Of Mayhem can’t have much more to really offer.

Shaundi hasn’t had major spotlight like those two, but has had consistently featured heavily, and she too feels done now.

As for the newbies, there’s so much they could do with it. Characters linked to anything the crew did back in time are a possibility, along with anyone from Agents Of Mayhem; either characters previously playable or just linked to their wider narrative.

Saint’s Row has never really struggled in this department, especially since the change in tone. It’s not that the current characters are bad, just that they’ve gone as far as they can go. There’s no reason to think Saint’s Row V won’t serve up brilliant replacements.
