Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: 10 Optional Bosses You Need To Fight

8. Headless

From Software

Like the Ashina Seven Swords, there are multiple undead Headless mini-bosses hidden throughout Sekiro, but the one most players will encounter first lurks in a secret area off a cliff near the Underbridge Valley Idol.

The first thing to worry about before you tackle any of the Headless though, is whether or not you're even quipped to damage them. Impervious to normal blades, you need Divine Confetti (ideally two pieces of it) for your attacks to register, and it's tragically quite rare to find right out the gate. Consequently, while you can find this specific Headless early on, it's advised that you wait until your attack power has increased so you don't waste these resources.

Even worse, you're going to need either a bunch of Pacifying Agents to offset the terror status inflicted by the Headless' attacks and deal with the movement-limiting mist they spew. Oh, and you can't get an easy deathblow from stealth either. Consequently, you not only have to be aware of their pretty devastating physical attacks, but a whole bunch of resources and environmental threats at the same time.

They're difficult, but with enough aggression, can be taken out before their more insidious attacks get a chance to knock you off balance.
