Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: 10 Optional Bosses You Need To Fight

6. Lady Butterfly

Unlike the previous entries on this list, Lady Butterfly is the first "proper" optional boss in the conventional FromSoftware sense, and she has a buttload of tricks up her sleeve to make her two-part fight a real test of endurance. Extremely fast and agile, it's easy to get caught in some of the boss' combos which, even if they're not dealing health damage, do massive amounts of posture damage.

While it's usually advisable not to rely on dodging during boss fights in Sekiro, it can be a godsend here. Dodging to the side of her attacks usually offers a window for a couple hits to the character's health, which will pay off in the longterm.

It's the second stage of the bout that's a real b*** though. From here, Lady Butterfly will start conjuring her illusions to help her out, which include ranged magic attacks and ghostly minions that can quickly overwhelm. Sap Seeds are essential here, as they'll quickly dispel these attacks before they even get a chance to damage you.

From there it's a simple case of repeating what you did in the first phase which, admittedly, is much easier said than done.
