10. Basaran (Colossus #9)

Basaran can be annoying as hell to defeat if you don't figure out the trick quickly, and even then, actually taking it down isn't exactly a cakewalk.

The player needs to lure the creature over one of the locale's many geysers, which will stagger it and allow the player to shoot out its legs, making it roll onto its back.

This lets you climb up its fur, but considering how easy it is to lose orientation and find stable grip as it rolls back around, this one can take far longer than you probably want it to.

It certainly feels like you've accomplished something when it's finally dealt with, though, and the ominous hot springs setting is absolutely fantastic.
