Silent Hill: 10 Reasons A Hideo Kojima Reboot Would Be Awesome
8. He's Got Konami Backing Him Up
It was reported that Konami went to Kojima some time ago and asked him for his help with Silent Hill, or wanted him aboard in some sort of producer capacity. It's unknown exactly what was discussed, only that he was personally asked to take on the next entry. Whether he's waiting to finish up the next Metal Gear title before giving it his full attention is unknown. What is known, however, is that he's got all of Konami backing him up. In fact, a few members of Team Silent, the now disbanded team that developed the first four titles in the franchise, have conversed with Kojima through his Twitter account about the proposed reboot. It's entirely possible that Kojima could reform Team Silent like a phoenix from the ashes, and bring Silent Hill back to where it belongs. A Kojima-led Team Silent would most likely satiate all the ill feelings that fans have felt since their demise in 2005. Kojima is currently the Vice President of Konami, and has a certain level of stroke within the company. The company believes in what he's already accomplished, and would absolutely be willing to give him a certain amount of final say over the shipped product. A tempting concept.
