Silent Hills: 10 Big Rumours You Need To Know

9. Silent Hills Is Really Silent Hill 5

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QQcOdvcMgTE One of the more baffling reveals for Silent Hills is the extra "s" tacked on to the end of the title. It actually ties into a lot of the more convincing theories that will be covered later in this list, but for what it€™s worth, some speculate that the game is actually going to be considered as the true fifth entry in the series. Since Silent Hill 4: The Room, the series has abandoned numbered entries in exchange for subtitles. Silent Hill: Homecoming was initially teased as being Silent Hill V, but that was before before Konami officially revealed it. Coincidentally, Team Silent disbanded after Silent Hill 4, so some might feel that every entry that has come out since doesn€™t really count. It€™s no wonder then, that some, as pointed out (but discredited) by Youtuber dolikisse, might think that the s could just be a backwards five, making Silent Hills the first numbered entry since 2004. If this is the case, however, Konami would only confuse fans; therefore, the company would be wise to just leave it as is. If it's anything to longtime fans, Kojima has demonstrated in P.T. that he seems to have a deep understanding of the franchise. For instance, the series is partly inspired by Jacob€™s Ladder, and Lisa moves eerily similarly to the creatures in that film. Perhaps Silent Hills will be a return to form.
