Skyrim Remastered: 10 Crucial Things Fans Need To See

9. Survival Mode

Survival modes are trending in such a big way right now that you almost want to dismiss them just on the principle that they're too damn popular already. But the fact is that a mode in which food, drink and sleep are factors, and both you and your enemies are subject to sudden and unpredictable deaths befitting of the tough, hostile world you're in, is incredibly good fun.

To get an idea of how such a mode would work in Skyrim you need only look to Fallout: New Vegas and Fallout 4. Sure, it makes the game tougher, but it makes the game tougher for everyone and everything in the world - a well-placed slash with your sword could cleave an enemy in half, an arrow head-shot on a human is an insta-kill, and suddenly that food and drink that you previously used to miraculously heal wounds needs to be ingested at regular intervals.

Inns and taverns will also start seeing more of your custom, though it'd also be a welcome touch to have some kind of craftable campsite included. Sleeping under the Skyrim sky may be chilly, but those remastered auroras will be a sight to behold...
