Skyrim Remastered: 10 Crucial Things Fans Need To See
5. Current-Gen Graphics
Rumour has it that the remaster will also be coming to PC, which would mean that the visual upgrades will need to go well beyond a few upgrades here and there if PC players - who've spent years beautifying Skyrim with mods - are to splash out more money on the game. It goes without saying that the remaster should run at 1080p on PS4 and 900p on Xbox One, with flawless 60fps frame-rates (though with the option of locking it at 30fps if you can't handle the buttery-smoothness).
Lighting, water effects, all textures and faces will need to be reworked, and hopefully facial animations can be bumped up to at least the level of Fallout 4 (which aren't perfect by any means, but still pass as current-gen). Draw distances on consoles should be flawless, allowing you to see the whole of Skyrim (and beyond, ideally) from the highest mountains. Finally, a whole lot more vegetation, please.
The fact that Skyrim was made using an older version of the Creation Engine seen in Fallout 4, means that it shouldn't be too much to expect for it to look more or less on par with its post-apocalyptic sibling. Though we wouldn't complain if it looked like the RealVision mod pictured here...
