Skyrim Remastered: 10 Crucial Things Fans Need To See

3. A New Location

Bethesda/muppetpuppet

No matter how much spit and polish Bethesda chuck at Skyrim, the fact is that we're now all very familiar with it. Pretty though it may look remastered, there's no recreating that air of mystery and trepidation that we felt when first stepping out into its frigid world for the first time...

... Hang on, actually there is. Just create a new location!

If the modding tool is as open as we all hope it will be, then there'll be plenty of wonderful player-created locations to explore (like the Moonpath to Elsweyr, pictured), but to have a proper, canonical new area created with all the power of Bethesda's dev team and budget would be sure to reinvigorate Skyrim with a sense of adventure.

There are plenty of places to choose from, such as the north-eastern corners of the Breton land of High Rock, the north-western parts of martian climes of Morrowind, or how about Hammerfell, where players could experience deserts for the first time?

Having a DLC that encroaches on a new region of Tamriel would also be a great way of teasing a possible new setting and story for Elder Scrolls VI, whenever that may come...
