Skyrim: Special Edition - 10 Best-Looking Locations You Must Visit

3. The Shrine Of Azura

Skyrim Azura
Bethesda

Located just south of Winterhold and represented by a gigantic statue erected at the peak of a perilous slope, Azura's shrine is simply gorgeous. The statue itself looks superb, while the altar's views across the region are worth spinning the camera a few times to enjoy.

In the game's remastered state Azura's altar becomes one of the most picturesque areas of the in-game map. Drifts of powdery snow wind convincingly across the stone stairs as you rise to the altar and the dusting of fresh precipitation on the Azura's own head and artefacts demonstrates what good snow-work looks like in a video game.

Visit this at different times and in different weathers to get the best possible appreciation for it.
