Smash Bros. Switch: 10 New Characters Nintendo Must Add
7. Solaire Of Astora
With From Software's legendary RPG series scheduled to find a new home on Switch by way of the remastered original next month, Nintendo would be crazy not to pay a little extra lip service to Souls fans intending to pick up the hybrid console solely for Souls-on-the-go.
We've seen it before with Bayonetta, Cloud and others that the Big N seems to favour those third-party characters that have either recently debuted on their platform or had a new game announced (Bayonetta 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake respectively) and what better way to represent Souls than with its grossly incandescent, sun-worshipping unofficial mascot, Solaire of Astora?
If nothing else, the tin can-headed undead has the perfect aesthetic and weapon set for a good old-fashioned brawl, and his inclusion would no doubt pave the way for assist and pick-ups based on the series.
Don't praise the star, wish upon it that the pairing becomes a reality.
