Spider-Man 2: 10 Villain Boss Fights We Need To See
8. Mysterio
Mysterio might be more of an obvious choice than the previous two characters, given he's one of Spidey's most famous adversaries, but he's pretty much impossible to avoid if you're bringing Spider-Man to the video game medium.
That's largely because Mysterio, perhaps more than any other Spidey adversary, lends himself brilliantly to games in general. Quentin Beck is a master illusionist and is capable of making any of his targets question their own reality, utilising a variety of different gadgets and chemicals to turn an opponent's life upside down.
Mysterio could serve Insomniac in a similar way Scarecrow did Rocksteady for their seminal Batman: Arkham trilogy. Although absent for the second instalment, Scarecrow's nightmare segments were standout parts of both Arkham Asylum and Arkham Knight, and it's not difficult to imagine Insomniac applying similar lessons to Mysterio in their next Spidey title.
