Spider-Man PS4: 10 Marvel Games Insomniac Should Make Next
2. Fantastic Four
Outside of comics, the Fantastic Four haven't had much luck. What better way to boost their popularity than to let them star in their own title? Stick with the core team for now, but there's always room for the roster grow, should the game's narrative need to import someone - potentially as a way to draw Spider-Man players across into a new game?
An interesting approach would be to make Fantastic Four a widely different experience; make it an asynchronous multiplayer title, where each character is controlled by a different player to get the most out of each character's powers during team-up moments. A single-player campaign would instead likely be more mission-structured, again ensuring that each character got their spot in the limelight.
A Fantastic Four title would be a perfect way of bringing some of Marvel's greatest villains like Doctor Doom, Galactus, or undermine our favourite characters with a Skrull invasion. These would form great events for players to combine their powers in unique ways, with each distinctive character bringing brawn, tactics and flexibility to each different combat situation.
Throw in more science and the ability to start exploring new areas like the Negative Zone, and Insomniac have a great game on their hands.
