7. Those Annoying Balloon Children

Spider-Man 2 might've been a stellar game, but god were those children annoying.

One of the many petty crimes that would randomly generate as players swung around New York, the noise of one of New York's children crying about losing their balloon wore thin really fast - so much so that, in Ultimate Spider-Man, players were given the opportunity to literally eat them as Venom.

While Insomniac don't need to go so far in making amends for Spider-Man 2's most lamentable side-missions, it's important that they make sure some of New York's criminal distractions aren't monotonous or - in balloon child's case - ear-piercingly terrible.
