7. Big Time
You have to admire Dan Slott. Not only has the writer got great Twitter-game, he's presided over the wall crawler for a little over eight years now. His run didn't get off to the best of starts thanks to the earth shattering ret-con provided by One More Day, but, as his run has developed, it's become something truly marvellous. You only have to look at Superior Spider-Man for confirmation of that fact, but it is the author's second story-arc that would make for a particularly awesome triple-A release.
Called 'Big Time', this storyline saw Pete deal with a rejuvenated Hobgoblin, a new army of Spider-Slayers headed up by Alistair Smythe, as well as the return of Mac Gargan to the Scorpion identity. All in a day's work for Spidey, right?
Peter himself develops a Tron-like suit to adapt to the challenges that arise throughout the tale, and even the Avengers make an appearance too. What better way to expand the Sony-Marvel gaming monopoly than to hint at further titles along the line, featuring Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
