Splatoon: 10 Best Multiplayer Maps - Ranked
2. Arowana Mall
Besides having one of the best aesthetics in the game, Arowana Mall is also one of the most fun environments to traverse.
Because the maps in Splatoon are designed to mirror one another, Arowana Mall is almost always going to start with an intense uphill battle against the other team. This chaotic start allows for masters of the Splatling to thrive or for quieter players to sneak off towards the side and start trying to invade enemy territory.
These walkways also allow for Chargers to have a significant presence, whilst Rollers and Splattershot users dominating the ground level of the map. The verticality of Splatoon also comes into effect here, making Squid movement mastery greatly important.
The only issue with Arowana Mall are the annoying water traps that surround the ground area. These small bodies of water are guaranteed to pull gameplay to a halt if you fall in and, although that sounds like an easy obstacle to avoid, you're likely to do it at least once.
Water problems aside, Arowana Mall is an intense, well thought out map that always results in fun.
