1. Blackbelly Skate Park

Despite being one of the first maps introduced into Splatoon, Blackbelly Skate Park is still the best.

Blackbelly Skate Park embodies everything that is great about Splatoon. The style is so very 90's and upbeat and it feels like the perfect place for Inklings to fight. It's an absolutely fitting map for each different colour of ink and stylistically it fits Splatoon better than any other map in the game.

Match-wise, Blackbelly Skate Park also has all of the features of a good Splatoon map. The central tower allows for Inklings with Squiffers to dominate, whilst the ground levels of Blackbelly allow for proper use of Rollers to control the match. Every type of Ink weapon is given a chance to shine in this map and that's one of the greatest aspects of it.

Splatoon really perfects its mechanics and design in this map, making it the most enjoyable level to play in the game to date.
