Star Wars Battlefront: 11 Reasons It's A Big Disappointment
3. Spawns Need To Be Fixed
A key facet of any multiplayer shooter functioning correctly is placing spawns close enough to the action that it's not a slog getting there (a problem some of the Battlefield games have had) but being far away enough from the chaos that you're not getting gunned down within 5 seconds of respawning. Battlefront could definitely use some work in this area, especially in the Supremacy and Walker Assault modes, where players will often spawn too close to the action for comfort, resulting in immense frustration as you're killed before you can even get a lay of the land. In addition, the way in which the land is divided up during combat can be frustrating: the game will tell you to "return to combat" despite enemy players being visible past the map boundary. You can run across the border and try your luck, but you'll need to get the job done and return past the invisible line before the 10 second time limit runs out. It seems like a silly design mechanism to box players in considering the epic scope of the battles.
