Star Wars Battlefront 2: 12 Features EA Must Add
3. Star Wars Rebels DLC
Despite divided opinions, Star Wars Rebels found its place within the Star Wars universe. Its canon status has added depth to areas of the lore and has had a small presence on the big screen with several references being found in Rogue One. Lothal, the central planet for the series, is even referenced by Del in the single-player campaign and there are even theories that the allies in the Outer Rim that Leia refers to in the Resurrection DLC could possibly be Hera or Sabine.
Rebels may be a TV show but there is still content that EA could pull from the series. The TIE Defender has already been mentioned, but Lothal could also provide the basis for a new objective-based ground map and the Battle of Attolon (Phoenix Squadron’s base of operations) would make a grand addition to Starfighter Assault. And hero additions include anyone from the Inquisitors to Kanan, Ezra and the whole Ghost crew, and of course, everyone’s favourite, Ahsoka Tano.
The demographic is considerably younger and players unfamiliar with the series may find their inclusion a little jarring. But Rebels has found its place in the Star Wars universe, and offers contents that could benefit the expansion of Battlefront II.
Besides, who doesn’t want to pilot The Ghost in the dogfight? I’d pay for that.
