Star Wars Battlefront 2: 12 Features EA Must Add

2. The Clone Wars DLC

Just like Rebels, its predecessor The Clone Wars has a lot to offer. Influences can already been seen in the existing maps, particularly on Kamino. Ryloth provides the setting for one of Starfighter Assaults’ maps and the Prequel Bomber classes, the BTL-B Y Wing and the Hyena-class Droid Bomber both originated on the show. But there is more than can be sourced from there.

Heroes could include fan favourites such as Ahsoka and Captain Rex, who both incidentally appear in Rebels. There’s also the Sith Assassin Asajj Ventress who proved to be an impeding opponent of the Republic, and even comes with her own Hero ship, the Last Call (a Ginivex-Class Fanblade Starfighter). Plus, she’s a female Sith acolyte. What more would you want?

Map choices range from Christophsis and Saleucami to Umbara, each with their own specialist vehicles and distinct environments that are set aside from the current catalogue. Reinforcement types include Republic Commandos, the BX Series Droid Commandos and maybe even the ARC Troopers.

The list could go on.

Even after ending four years ago, The Clone Wars has a loyal fan base. People may be sceptical that we will ever see a Clone Wars DLC pack, but in a game where players are expected to pay for perks and upgrades, I’d much rather spend my money on content like this.
