9. Build On The Sequel Era

We’re already two episodes into the new trilogy and yet it feels like EA have already exhausted all the content that’s on offer, which has had an impact on the First Order and Resistance factions.

Neither does it help that for Starfighter Assault, the Original and Sequel Eras feel more or less the same. X-Wings and TIE Fighters may have a slightly different design, but they seem basically identical. Plus, both Factions are in desperate need of a Bomber class. The Resistance Bombers were introduced in The Last Jedi, which gives them a good starting point, but maybe they should be looking at expanding the locales they already have to offer. Starkiller Base and Jakku already have ground-based maps. EA could go back and create Starfighter maps for them too, in a similar fashion that Kamino’s is designed.

Additional content from the comics seems sparse and Episode IX won’t reach theatres until 2019. After Rebels concludes this year, a new animated series is set to follow and if this gets set in the Sequel Era, EA would be wise to bring in influences from that.

The question is, will it be too late?
